5. MSA Group @ Race For The Cure (Sat May 16)

MSA Volunteer opportunity as Human Barricade - Start Line Volunteer come along and join your fellow MSA friends in cheering on the runners!

• Description: We will be meeting at WEST CAMPUS as an MSA and carpooling together to the race grounds. Please visit the link below to sign up.

We will report directly to Carole Morbitzer at the Start Line to get volunteer t-shirt and assignment.  Start Line is on Front Street north of Broad Street. Will be outside, wear appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. Will be helping with crowd control at start line. Will need 10 people to stay and help with the 1 mile walk at 9:15 a.m. Remaining volunteers can join the 5K walk.

6. Islamic Awareness Week: Volunteers Needed (May 26 - May 29)
InshAllah we will be hosting Islamic Awareness Week May 26-May 29.  We will have daily Dawah tables & activities on the Oval along with daily main events in the evening.  More details will be sent shortly.

• What we need:  YOU (we need man/women power to make this a success)
• Volunteering opportunities: Flyering Campus…Dawah Tables setup & taredown on the Oval…manning the tables, answering questions, promoting evening events…setup of evening events, and much more.

7. Nakbah Week on the Oval (Tues May 12 - Fri May 15)
This year marks the 61st anniversary of al- Nakba (The Catastrophe). Between the years of 1947-1948 the world saw the mass ethnic cleansing of over 750,000 Palestinians from their cities and villages, massacres of civilians, and the razing to the ground of hundreds of Palestinian villages. In commemoration of these events CJP (Committee For Justice In Palestine) is hosting al-Nakba Awareness week on the oval.

• Date: Tues May 12 - Fri May 15
• Time: 9:30am - 5:00pm
• Location: OSU Oval
• Description: We will be tabling on the oval tomorrow through friday, from 9:30am-5pm. We need all the help we can get, especially for set up and break down. If you have some time to spare, and are willing to help in anyway please us know, or just stop by our tents.

This 3rd annual youth conference is including comedian Baba Ali, a talent show, a boys basketball tournament, and even a girls bowling tournament.There will also be Amazing speakers…Fisal Hammoudah, Muhammad Diwan, Haris Tarin, Dr. Zainab Alwani, and even Raed Taiyeh!
